Say It Ain't So....

After a week of rain, the snow has been disappearing fast. (Still have a bunch, but I can drive up and down my driveway and the landscaped hill by our house and the walks were pretty clear, but the flat by the garden and the woods still have 6-12inches.)

Well, we had a sneak snowstorm to start out the new year. The kids went to bed without snow on the sledding hill and woke up to 1-2". So Friday before I left for work I woke the kids and told them "No school! Because it's a snow day." C didn't believe me and nearly took my $1 bet about the snow. Rats! The kid is on to me - I usually only bet on a "sure" thing. M just groaned and wailed "Noooooooooo". B echoed her sentiments and added "I don't want more snow." She was especially disappointed that it was this slushy /icy stuff that didn't allow you to sled or make snowmen. (There were so many wrecks and slide offs on my way to work. For now reason, some one would just start spinning 360's in front of you and whirl off the road.)
