New and Improved
The much improved Christmas tree. You can barely see KT & B's ornaments. We should be barfing tinsel tomorrow and be much more "Christmasy". Hurray!! I'm looking for anything to help me. I sorely need motivation. The snow although grand has really thrown a curveball into a time when I need just big old fat waist high fast balls destined to be knocked out of the park.

The tree looks much better! We have a ghetto tree this year. What is a ghetto tree you ask? Well a ghetto tree has more lights and ornaments than limbs. Kind of like those crazy vehicles you sometimes see and just wonder what that would cost... yep... thats our tree... our tree was the most expensive $10 permit we could afford. It cannot support an angel on top or the new strands of LED lights I bought...
oh well... at least yours looks good...
I THINK I'M GOING TO HAVE TO START ONLY USING OUR "SPECIAL" ORNAMENTS. WE HAVE SO MANY THAT THE KIDS HAVE MADE OR WE BRING BACK FROM TRIPS THAT THERE REALLY ISN'T MUCH ROOM FOR ALL THE FANCY ONES I BUY.
(ORIGINALLY I USED TO BUY ONLY ONE ORNAMENT ON OUR TRIPS, BUT THEN I HAVE A BETTER IDEA AND STARTED IT 5 OR 6 YEARS AGO....) I REALIZED THAT ONLY ONE ORNAMENT WAS FINE, BUT WHEN MY KIDS GREW UP AND MOVED OUT THEY MIGHT WANT SOME OF THE ORNAMENTS (I REMEMBER THAT THE ONLY ORNAMENTS I STARTED OUT WHEN WE GOT MARRIED WERE JUST A COUPLE I GOT WHEN I WAS A KID ON A TRIP WITH MY PARENTS.) THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED THAT EACH OF US SHOULD HAVE AN ORNAMENT. SO NOW WHEN WE GO ON A TRIP, I PICK UP AN ORNAMENT, SEASHELL, OR SOME LITTLE TRINKET THAT REMINDS US OF THE TRIP - THE KIDS USUALLY PICK OUT THEIR OWN. IT MAKES IT SPECIAL AND I REALLY LIKED THE LISTENING TO MY KIDS...SAYING "OH, THIS WAS WHEN WE SPENT THANKSGIVING AT THE COAST AND WE WENT TO THE AQUARIUM, OR THIS IS WHAT WE GOT AT YELLOWSTONE, OR REMEMBER WHEN WE WENT TO DISNEYLAND?"
